Our home renovation: Bathroom reveal

Nothing quite like an avocado bathroom…well actually avocado and lemon was the actual colour combo! Even the original Royal Dolton basin.

"The bathroom was restrictive with our three children and really didn’t support our busy family life. Our home was built in the 1950’s and so when renovating Johnny and I wanted to keep the authentic feel of the original period while bringing the bathroom into the present." says Michelle.

Our inspiration:

Using Pinterest and sourcing ideas from various home and living websites I had some definite thoughts on what I wanted the space to feel like. Vikki from Yellow Fox was also a great help with colours and products when making decisions on my ideas.

The end result

Keeping the home in theme with he period it was built we chose colours and detail finishes that reflected the heritage of the era. A great example of this is the colour of the drawers in the bathroom cabinet and the handles.
