Each regional category is judged by industry peers including an architect and a builder who rate each home against a set criteria scorecard. The highest points scoring Gold Awards.
Gold Award is exceptional, having achieved 90 percent or more of the points available.
A Silver Award is excellent having achieved 82% of the points available.
Each year a maximum of 100 entries from the regional competitions receive Gold reserve status . All the Gold Reserve finalists are then judged by a new national judging panel who have the challenging task of finding one winner in each category.
